The City Schools Division of Tacurong or Schools Division of Tacurong or DepEd Tacurong complies with with Republic Act. No. 10173, known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, commits to protect, respect and maintain the safety of your privacy. WHAT ARE THE INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM YOU?

Personal and personal sensitive information that may include:

  • Name, home address, contact number, and e-mail address
  • Social Security Number, Tax Identification Number, and other Government-issued IDs that can validate your identity
  • ethnicity, civil status, race, religion, scholastic records, health records, service record, ratings, training, leave schedules, financial data and other similarly sensitive information shared with us

The Law recognizes that certain personal information is considered sensitive, therefore, requires greater protection.

  • Research and Learning Development both for Teachers and Students

HOW LONG WILL WE KEEP YOUR DATA?

We will keep your data as long as necessary or based on the purpose of why it was collected for. Data will be retained based on operational considerations.


WHO CAN ACCESS YOUR DATA?

Your data can only be accessed by authorized people who are in charge of collecting and processing it. However, if necessary and with the approval of the subject, we may share your information to other parties such as financial institutions, government offices, and so on.


WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS AS THE DATA SUBJECT/OWNER?

You, as a data subject, are granted specific rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, which you may exercise and enforce against data controllers or processors, and which the latter are obligated to observe and respect. You have the right to access your own information:

The right to know whether or not personal data about you will be, is being, or was processed.

The right to be informed whether personal data pertaining to you will be, are being or were processed.

The right to object to his or her personal data being processed.

The right to access your own personal data that is being processed, as well as the sources from which your data was obtained, who the receivers are, who controls your data, why your data was disclosed, and when it was accessed and amended.

The right to request that his or her personal data be blocked, removed, or destroyed from the personal information controller’s filing system.

Damages rights: You should be covered for any losses incurred as a result of such inaccurate, out-of-date, unlawfully obtained, or unauthorized use of personal data, taking into account any breach of your rights and freedoms as the data owner.
